Abstract: | I will discuss some results on finite differences and finite element approximations of the total variation for possibly discontinuous functions.
In particular the talk will focus on the differences between various types of approximations, both qualitatively and quantitatively. This is based on joint works with Thomas Pock (TU Graz) and Corentin Caillaud (CMAP, Ecole Polytechnique & CNRS, Palaiseau) |
