Description: On 27 November 2018 Clare College, Cambridge, hosted Visiting Clare Fellow Mr Shanin Specter (1983) who delivered a lecture entitled "From Clarence Thomas to Brett Kavanaugh: The selection and politics of nominees to the US Supreme Court".

Mr Specter has taught at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, UC Hastings College of the Law, UC Berkley School of Law and Stanford Law School. He is a founding Partner of the US firm Kilne & Specter.
