Abstract: | In ancient time free will was though to reside in the heart and then in the soul. We recognise that the seat of free will in humans is the brain. This talk explores how free will develops and is modulated by all the inputs into our brains. It is a bi-directional and plastic and allows us to adapt and change. We are largely not driven by instinct and the brain is what allows us to control the choice of our destiny. |
