| Abstract: | This presentation is a Bronze performance. The vocal presentation is unclear and lacks projection, sometimes being inaudible. Whilst there is some tonal variation, this is limited and pronunciation is occasionally unclear. There is some attempt to address relevant issues with appropriate vocabulary, but there is little imaginative word choice. The presentation is halting and does not flow well, affecting its clarity. In content, there is a use of lists rather than explanation. There is no clear ending for this rather short presentation. There is almost no use of rhetorical devices to engage the audience, beyond the question posed at the beginning. The presentation is not lively or engaging, and eye contact and gesture are constrained by the reliance on the written prompts. The speaker seems uncomfortable, suggesting a lack of experience and confidence in dealing with this kind of talk situation. |
