About this item
Description: Like Newton with the falling apple, my engineering mind was triggered while playing with my baby girl and her toys. Amongst the toys was a Star Shaped Baby Rattle which looked quite ordinary but did something special when rotated. As shown in the video, when the rattle is rotated clockwise, the small plastic balls it contains rotate in the anti-clockwise direction and vice versa. This phenomenon was very eye catching and amazing for me as it disobeyed the naturals laws we study and learn with experience. After not being able to find any reported literature on the strange rotation produced by the star shaped containers, I knew I had my hands on something new which is worth sharing with the engineering world. I hope the viewers of the video like it and are able to shed some light on this occurrence.
