Description:	This is the screen recording of a Prezi presentation made by Bjoern Hassler and Sara Hennessy of the Centre for Commonwealth Education (CCE), University of Cambridge, reporting the findings of the DfID-funded ANTSIT Project: "Appropriate new technologies to support interactive teaching in Zambia". The project investigated which mobile technologies are most versatile and appropriate for interactive teaching in poorly resourced classrooms. Ours was one of a number of invited presentations at an event on March 30, 2011 entitled "Mobile Technologies for Education: The experience in the developing world", organised by the Humanitarian Centre as part of a themed year on ICT4D. The event was co-hosted by the Humanitarian Centre and CCE.

Abstract:	This 8-min. clip is the screen recording (with audio) of a Prezi presentation made by Bjoern Hassler and Sara Hennessy on behalf of the team at Aptivate, CCE and iSchool.zm who jointly carried out the DfID-funded ANTSIT Project: "Appropriate new technologies to support interactive teaching in Zambia" between September 2010 and March 2011. The project was part of the "New and Emerging Technologies Research" scheme. Its overarching goal was to determine how innovative approaches to using educational technologies in conjunction with appropriate pedagogies and learning resources can significantly improve teaching and learning in primary schools in Zambia, rated one of the lowest developed countries globally. It was part of a themed year on ICT4D (ICT for Development) run by the Humanitarian Centre in partnership with ARM. Other guest speakers at the Mobile Technologies event were Dr Niall Winters (London Knowledge Lab, University of London); Dr Sacha DeVelle (Cambridge to Africa); Geoff Stead (Tribal Group).
