Abstract: The classical singular decomposition method has been applied to linear kinetic transport equations to recover their absorption and scattering coefficients. In this talk we will show how this method works for general kinetic inverse problems. As examples, we will show various reconstructions of parameters in nonlinear transport equations, linear transport with an interface and the nonlinear Vlasov-Poisson equation. This talk is based on a series of works with Ru-yu Lai and Qin Li.
