Abstract: | In this talk, Dr Moreno presents the work that they have carried out in the context of analyzing and shaping children’s play behavior in interactive playgrounds, technology-enhanced spaces where players engage in co-located, playful activities. First, he describes their Interactive Playground system, and how cameras are used to sense and analyze players’ behavior during gameplay. Afterwards, he presents several user studies where this information, combined with certain game elements, has been used to shape children’s social behavior in the form of proxemics, prosocial behavior and cooperation. |
