Abstract: | We discuss some recent work on the long time dynamics of some dispersive models arising from the study of water waves. In particular we discuss the existence and long time dynamics of solutions to some internal wave models derived by Camassa and Choi that are natural 2d generalisations of the Benjamin-Ono and Intermediate Long Wave Equations in the case of weak transverse effects. This is joint work with Jeremy L. Marzuola. |
