Abstract: There are many more connected graphs than tress. yet with the weighting used in physics, connected graphs are dominated by trees. This talk will sketch how the problem of parameterizing connected graphs by trees is a geometry problem. It will also present an identity for connected graphs in which a tree structure emerges naturally in the course of the proof.
