Abstract: | Uniqueness is an extremely strong property. Even if the input data contains no conflicting information, to find that there is exactly one evolutionary tree that is consistent with the data is very unlikely. A property that is somewhat weaker and yet essentially just as good is that of identifiability. In this talk, we introduce and describe some recent work on this property. |
