The emerging concept ‘knowledge democracy’ is a process of addressing the relationships between knowledge production and dissemination, linking to the functions of social institutions in a bid to connect values of democracy with action. Join us for an insightful lecture by Professor Lonnie Rowell, co-founder and lead organizer in establishing the Action Research Network of the Americas (ARNA). Rowell will address critical issues in action research and participatory action research as they are taking shape within the current crisis of neo-liberalism and the growing authoritarian challenges of Trumpism (and other global authoritarian figures) to democratic society. This lecture is hosted by Education Reform and Innovation (ERI) team based at the Faculty of Education. ERI specialises in research-informed systemic education reform. ERI is involved in international projects of development, research, monitoring and evaluation. |
