| Abstract: | This presentation is a Gold minus performance. The presentation is generally fluent and well organised. There is no obvious reliance on written prompts. Use of gesture and tonal variation contribute to the liveliness of the performance. Some rhetorical techniques are used to good effect, such as the short list of items delivered with emphasis (‘Laptops – great! Internet connection – great!’). Overall, the presentation is well structured, though there is a little too much reliance on long lists of items. The speaker does not seem confident and relaxed, but is quite skilled in handling this kind of talk situation. |
