| Abstract: | There is a great deal of research into student learning and thinking in science, often focused on learning difficulties and students alternative conceptions or intuitive ideas.
We have learnt a great deal from this research, yet we have also found that the foci of such studies (learning and thinking) are subtle, complex and sometimes elusive. |
