Professor Judi Wakhungu is the Executive Director of the African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS) in Nairobi, Kenya. She was most recently an Associate Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at Pennsylvania State University where she also served as the Director of the Women in the Sciences & Engineering (WISE) Institute. Prof. Wakhungu’s research interests include energy resources management; materials; energy policy and development; science, technology, and development; and gender issues in science and technology policy.

Abstract: ‘Feeding Seven Billion’

These debates will take place at Kings Place, London, and are hosted and organised by the University of Cambridge Global Food Security Strategic Research Initiative. The aim is to bring the latest thinking on the critical topic of Global Food Security to the general public through an open dialogue with leading international scholars, politicians, policy makers and journalists.
