| Abstract: | Whilst this very short clip illustrates a simple use of the IWB by a child in the class, its main purpose is to illustrate the idea that in order for children to talk productively they need to know how. Here primary school teacher Diane introduces some talk rules for the pupils (aged 10) to trial and she provides an opportunity for them to discuss which they see as important. Her aim was to support classroom dialogue in the personal safety activities that follow.
