Abstract: | In the talk, a review of the global asymptotic results that could be obtained for Painleve transcendents with the help of the Isomonodromy - Riemann-Hilbert method will be presented. Those include the complete description of all possible types of asymptotic behavior of the Painleve functionsat the relevant critical points together with the explicit connection formulae, distribution of poles, quasi-linear and nonlinear Stokes phenomenon. The talk will cover the work done by different authors over the span of many years. Some of the recent progress in the area will be discussed aswell. |
